Grant Writer
Capital Repertory Theatre seeks an experienced, part time grant writer to join the development department. The grant writer will provide support to the theatre’s fundraising activities through the research, development, submission and tracking of foundation and government grants.
Responsibilities include researching prospective grant opportunities for the theatre’s artistic/education/outreach projects and general operating support; directly contacting grantors to request updated information and deadlines; working with other staff to compile required materials; writing and revising all grant proposals; timely submission of grants and follow-up.
Qualifications include minimum of 2 years grant writing experience with a proven track record of funded proposals. Experience with an arts/cultural organization is required. Compensation commensurate with experience. Please submit resume and cover letter to officeassistant@capitalrep.org.

Position: Graphic Designer/Marketing Associate
Reports to: Marketing Director
Overview of Position: Coordinate and participate in a variety of activities associated with the marketing of Capital Repertory Theatre. Serve as in-house graphic designer and work with all departments in creation of marketing materials, website updates, etc.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Create various marketing materials – flyers, posters, postcards, etc – for all departments. · Maintain brand standards – make sure all departments, sponsors and partners are using the logo and images according to brand standards.
· Production Schedules – create and maintain master production schedule for all collateral materials (e-newsletters, printed collateral, playbill etc).
· Project Management – mange all aspects of projects from meeting with department contact, bidding out jobs and working with printer to ensure project meets deadline. · Playbill Layout o Shells - collect and layout all ads to be placed in playbill shell which is printed prior to the start of the season. o Inserts – work with various departments to pull together show specific information, ads and theatre information that is printed for a particular show.
· Electronic Media – maintain website, create email communications, maintain email database and maintain social media networks on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. Coordinate monthly Stages e-newsletter.
· Video/Audio Recordings – write and coordinate the recording of phone scripts and pre-show recordings for each show; create and update video loop to be played in the lobby. · Sponsorship Fulfillment – make sure that all advertising needs are met for season and show specific materials (playbill, flyers, postcards, etc).
· Attend weekly marketing meetings, all staff meetings and “First Hour” events.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates:
· 2-3 years experience in communication field.
· Graphic design experience a must.
· Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design required.
· Experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop and other design programs.
