TITLE: Manager of Special Events
DEPARTMENT: Relationships
A full time exempt position with benefits
Reports to the Relationships Director
Organizational skills are at the core of this position. Must be organized, motivated, detail oriented person able to multi-task and execute projects independently. Friendly personality and willingness to work with volunteers are critical.
JOB DUTIES:
- Execute special events – plan, budget, organize and evaluate events for fundraising and general Theatre events for both Proctors and Capital Rep (Events include – Season Galas, Wine Festival, Craft Festival, Beer Festival, Volunteer Party, Sneak Peek events and more.)
- Serve as staff liaison, clerical support, and event planner for The Guild - Proctors volunteer support organization that creates fundraising campaigns and events as well as events for its membership. Events may include: Season ticket raffle, basket raffle, Spring Luncheon, fall orientation, Lunch with Santa and more.)
- Coordinate and assist in the solicitation of Corporate Sponsors as well as auction items for numerous events.
- Generate Theatre Manager reports for the Guild and special events
- Web management – create content for special events web pages
- Create long range plans for future events
- Other duties as assigned
- Computer skills: Word & Excel a must, database management and some graphic design experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years experience executing major non-profit fundraising events required. Proven track record with multi-day festivals preferred.
