33 Variations
By Moisés Kaufman
September 10 - October 3, 2010

Nominated for five Tony Awards, 33 Variations combines drama, music and memory in a play about passion, parenthood and the transformative power of beauty. At the end of his life, Beethoven obsessively wrote 33 variations on a theme by Anton Diabelli - an act that has baffled musicologists for centuries. In 33 Variations, present-day musicologist, Katherine Brandt attempts to unravel Beethoven's towering obsession. As her journey progresses, her own obsession with genius - and her own legacy - is unveiled.

Shipwrecked!
An Entertainment - The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told by Himself)
By Donald Marguiles

October 22 - November 14, 2010

Prepare to be astonished! When Louis de Rougemont's youthful voyage upon the high seas was cut short by a typhoon, he was marooned on a Coral Sea island, made contact with Australian aboringines and found an unlikely home. There he rode giant sea turtles, observed a monstrous man-eating octopus and flying wombats, and tamed the "savages" with his displays of gymnastics. In Shipwrecked! the adventurous de Rougemont shares his fantastical story of bravery, survival and celebrity - blurring the lines between fact and fiction but never failing to entertain.

A Christmas Story
Adapted by Philip Grecian
December 3, 2010 - January 2, 2011

This stage adaptation of the modern movie classic, based on the book by Jean Shepherd, will delight the whole family with the story of nine-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB-gun for Christmas. Undeterred by the repeated warnings of "You'll shoot your eye out!" from his mother, teacher and even the department store Santa, Ralphie campaigns relentlessly for the BB-gun. As he does, Ralphie encounters more than his share of seasonal snafus including an exploding furnace, taunting the school bully, a tongue stuck on a frozen flagpole and a hilarious Christmas dinner at a Chinese restaurant. With just the right amout of wackiness and nostalgia, A Christmas Story will leave you smiling from ear to ear, ready to creat holiday memories of your own.

The Sisters Rosensweig
By Wendy Wasserstein
January 21 - February 13, 2011

This delightful Tony-nominated play, which won an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Broadway Play, follows three disparate Jewish sisters from Brooklyn as they reunite in London for the birthday of Sara, the eldest. Over the course of a chaotic weekend - filled with furriers, bi-sexual lovers and political protestors - the sisters reminisce about their history, relationships, womanhood and ethnicity. It is a weekend of reconciliation, unexpected romance, suspected partings and newfound acceptance. The Sisters Rosensweig is a heart-warming comic portrait of a complex family from one of America's best playwrights, the late Pulitzer Prize-winning Wendy Wassertein.

Capital Rep Play Festival
April 15 - May 15, 2011

World Premiere
Kingdom of the Shore
A new play written by Terrance Lamude.

Blood Type: Ragu
Written and performed by Frank Ingrasciotta

Ingrasciotta's deliciously entertaining one-man show tells the humorous, touching story of a Sicilian immigrant family struggling to find their place in America. As they begin to crack under the strain of life in a new country, they hold tighter to their traditions and find that negotiating between two cultures is difficult at best. In recounting his true story, Ingrasciotta brings to life 20-plus characters, showing that adversity can be overcome through understanding - and more than a little humor.
