Betrayal

by Harold Pinter
January 15 – February 7, 2010

Regarded as one of Pinter’s major plays, Betrayal deals with a classic dramatic love triangle that entangles a married couple, Emma and Robert, with their close friend, Jerry, with whom Emma has an affair. The inventive story unfolds by moving backward in time, from the end of the affair to the beginning, providing a compelling meditation on the themes of marital infidelity, duplicity, and self-deception. Betrayal won the Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Play in New York and the West End Award as Best Play of the Season in London.
